I practice mindfulness meditation and Tai Chi because they are among the most transformative, far-reaching, and profound disciplines I've encountered in my life. I began teaching these arts because people asked me to teach, and because, unlike most responses to suffering, these practices get to the roots. My teaching of contemplative practice is informed by Buddhism, Taoism, Advaita Vedanta, and Perennialism.
